HEALTH CARE IS COMING TO EVERYBODY

 AFSCME Brothers and Sisters I have good news for you and your loved ones.  Oregon Legislature has passed the HOPE Amendment.  HOPE (Health Over Profits for Everyone) otherwise know as SJR12. This is a recommended change to the Oregon Constitution.  This means that the Oregon Voters will get a chance November 2022 to vote to amend the constitution. If approved, it will mean that the state of Oregon will be obligated to ensure. that every resident will receive the health care they need. Read it for yourself SJR 12.  Oregon AFSCME Cn 75 and the Oregon AFSCME Retirees Chapter 75 along with SEIU 503 and 49, League of Women Voters and multitude of other organizations support this amendment.  

This will be a necessary first step engage the population to create a healthier society.  As you know the USA pays more and gets less for healthcare than any other country. Realize we have higher birth mortality and age mortality (78) than any other industrialized country.

The HOPE Amendment will be a positive step for cure.
